Onduku agrees to join Bayelsa

Sharks' out-of-contract winger, Gomo Onduku has agreed in principle to sign for former Nigeria Premier League (NPL) champions, Bayelsa United.

Supersport.com has been informed that the attacking winger, who has been on loan to Sharks is willing to rejoin Bayelsa United.

"Gomo has agreed to join former champions Bayelsa United. He has been on loan to Sharks all the while for about two or three seasons. So he has spoken to the Bayelsa United chairman, Akpofini Charles Odogu this week and he was happy with the terms from the club.

"But he has not signed yet for Bayelsa United. It is expected that he will travel to Yenagoa next week to conclude with Bayelsa United, who won promotion back to the Premier League last season. So once everything is concluded he will join the team for their pre-season plan," said a Bayelsa United official.

Onduku ended up as Sharks' leading scorer last term with nine goals and is also in contention for a squad place in Nigeria's Africa Cup of Nations team.
