Enyimba seal deal with Thomas

NPL side, Enyimba have signed goalkeeper, Femi Thomas for the 2012/2013 league season.

Thomas manned the post for Uyo-based side, Akwa United in the out gone 2011/2012 NPL season.

The Nigerian Olympic goaltender said he has successfully finalised his movement to the former African champions.

"I've signed for Enyimba last Friday for the 2012/2013 league season.

"I think the switch to Enyimba will give me further opportunity to expose myself.

"Enyimba are big side and I'll work together with other players to get them back to limelight once again.

"That's the value I'm bringing to the People's Elephant to ensure we win the league, return to the continent and become Africa's champions.

"I'm confident of regular shirt which is the most important reason for making the switch.

"I could've gone to any of the continental teams who're bringing everybody to its fold, I think Enyimba met my concept of an ideal club right now and what I got as offer is satisfactory with me," said the former Ocean Boys' goalie to supersport.com.

Enyimba finished fourth on the log last season and will campaign at the sub-regional club competition, Wafu Cup next year and Thomas believes the Aba Billionaires will emerge winners.

"Enyimba were two-time Africa champions, Wafu is a lower competition but we'll work hard to win it to make a bold statement for ourselves," he said.
