Yobo returns

Nigeria captain, Joseph has made his return from a knee injury that kept him out of action for five weeks.

Yobo copped the injury during Fenerbahce’s 3 - 0 win over Besiktas at the Sükrü Saraçoglu on Matchday 7 of the Turkish Super Lig.

The powerful defender played 70 minutes in that game before he was substituted by the Fener trainer, Aykut Kocaman.

He subsequently missed Nigeria’s 6-1 win over Liberia in the final round of qualifying for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Yobo returned to action on Thursday as Fenerbahce beat Cypriot side, AEL Limassol 2-0 in the Uefa Europa League.

The former Everton defender played 90 minutes in the game.

Yobo has now put himself in a strong position to start for his club in the Turkish league on Sunday when they welcome Orduspor to the Sükrü Saraçoglu on Matchday 11 of the Super Lig.
