Nigeria midfielder, Nosa Igiebor has joined La Liga club, Real Betis Balompie on a four-year deal from Israeli club, Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The deal, worth €1.1 million, is expected to be completed within the week and will see the former Warri Wolves and Sharks midfielder as one of the few Nigerians to have played professional football in Spain.
SuperSport.com can report that Igiebor has also been given the nod to begin visa and work permit processing to enable him complete the switch from Hapoel Tel-Aviv of Israel to the town of Seville where Betis are based.
Igiebor is expected to undergo a medical and thereafter sign a four-year deal. The Nigerian will however miss Thursday’s Uefa Europa League tie involving his former club, Hapoel Tel Aviv because he will be in Spain on that day to complete his transfer.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined Hapoel in 2011 and netted three goals in 27 appearances for the club.
Igiebor is also capped two times at senior level with Nigeria.
