Osaze leaves gates on fire

Nigeria striker, Peter Osaze Odemwingie scored his first goal of the season on the opening day of the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League.

The attacker made no mistake from the penalty spot, dispatching a 64th minute penalty with frightening force past Pepe Reina as West Bromwich Albion beat Liverpool 3-0 at the Hawthorns.

Odemwingie, whose goal was his side’s second of the afternoon, has now signalled his intent to become one of the main men for the Baggies this term.

The Super Eagles striker scored 10 Goals for WBA last term.

Odemwingie has now put himself in a strong position to be in the WBA starting line-up when they travel to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham Hotspurs on August 25.
