Crown wants African ticket

Crown FC centre-back, Segun Ayo is positive his side will earn an emphatic win against Kano Pillars in Group C tie of the Federation Cup.

The Ogbomosho-based side were handed a tough pairing against the Pyramid City lads in Sunday's draw of the Lagos centre which will see other centre mates, Kwara United tackle El-Kanemi Warriors at the Agege Stadium on Monday.

Ayo told SuperSport.com that they are happy facing the NPL title chasers in the first game of their group campaign.

"No problem facing Kano Pillars, I want to tell you it's the best pairing we've wished for and we'll come up top in the encounter.

"Our style of play will earn us the support of Lagos fans. We'll surely top the group. We're here to make a bold statement that Crown still play good football.

"Our target is to win the Cup title and pick the African ticket to represent Nigeria.

"That's our mission and it will come to pass in Jesus name," said the captain of his side.

The former NPL side edged Fountain and ABS in the preliminary rounds of the annual football fiesta.
