Liverpool up for Soccerex Lagos



English Premier League side, Liverpool have confirmed they will be part of the Soccerex Seminar Lagos billed for September 27 and 28.

Liverpool's main sponsor, Standard Chartered is also expected at the seminar, SuperSport.com can report.

"Soccerex are delighted to confirm that Liverpool FC will be speaking alongside their main sponsor, Standard Chartered at the Soccerex Seminar Lagos, 27-28 September, 2012.

"Bruce Bundrant, Head of Partnerships, Liverpool FC and Simon Mould, Head of Sponsorship, Group Corporate Affairs, Standard Chartered, will give their insight into how the sponsorship deal is structured and how each party works to maximise the relationship," a statement from the organisers of the seminar read.

Speaking on his involvement in the Soccerex Lagos Seminar, Mould said: ”I am very excited to be a part of the inaugural Soccerex event in Lagos. West Africa is a key market for Standard Chartered and this event will be a great opportunity for us to further develop our business network there.”

Bundrant said he is ready to share the experience of Liverpool's relationship with Standard Chartered during the seminar.

“It’s always a pleasure to be speaking alongside Standard Chartered. We are very proud of the relationship and I look forward to sharing our story with the audience at the Soccerex Seminar Lagos,” he said.

Bundrant and Mould will join the list of speakers at the event that include former Arsenal vice chairman, David Dein, African football legend George Weah, Kwesi Nyantakyi, who heads the Ghanaian FA as well as the Lagos State Football Association chairman, Seyi Akinwunmi.

The conference will focus on issues in football business such as sports marketing, player transfers, sponsorship and stadia design.
