Swallows grab Obada

Moroka Swallows today announced the completed signing of Felix Obada. The deal was finalised on Thursday morning.

Obada was born in Warri, Nigeria on 3 November, 1989. He began his career on youthside with Invincible Leopards, and was scouted by Kwara United in 2006. After a successful year with them, he was transferred to Thanda Royal Zulu in 2007.

In 2008 the Nigerian winger was spotted by Molmo FF, the top Swedish club offered trials for both Obada and his companion, Bernard Parker.Arguably the best player at Thanda Royal Zulu, he left the relegated side to join fellow Kwazulu Natal outfit, Maritzburg United in 2009.

He performed well for The Team of Choice this past season and deservedly attracted attention from a host of PSL sides. The 22-year-old made 24 appearances in the league for Ernst Middendorp's side this season, scoring three goals in the process.

He joins fellow Nigerian Greg Etafia on the team.
