The second edition of the Airtel Rising Stars Youth soccer talent hunt is scheduled to start on Monday.
Company officials made his known at their Zen Garden facility indicating that the search would cover eight geo political zones and would be formatted in a league style. The program would also include an intra state championship as well as camps outside of Nigeria.
Speaking to SuperSport COO and Executive Director of Airtel - Nigeria, Mr. Deepak Srivastava informed us that the program was the only one at the real grassroots level in Nigeria with emphasis on female development - making it not just unique but very important as well.
"Nigeria recorded enviable heights in 1985,1993 and 2007 and we aim to recapture those moments" he pointed out.
Last year five exceptional stars were discovered and sent to a clinic as the South African Institute for sports in Cape Town.
Registration forms are available at designated Airtel centres throughout the country and will cost 200 Naira.
