Olowo returns against Pillars

Heartland centre-back, Emmanuel Olowo will return to action against Kano Pillars in Matchday Eight on Saturday in Kano.

Olowo has not dressed in his side's two immediate past games against Rising Stars and Lobi Stars due to malaria fever.

The vice captain of the Owerri-based side told SuperSport.com that he is fully fit to face Kano Pillars.

"I am fit and training for the game against Pillars at the weekend.

"Surely, expect to see me in action. I have been off the pitch in our last two games due to malaria attack.

"I am happy to be back," he said.

The ace defender is worried that they will be facing a strong side like Pillars with a depleted squad.

"This is not the best of time for us to meet Pillars.

"Apart from our seven regulars in the Super Eagles, some notable ones are down with injuries.

"We'll be facing Pillars with a depleted squad," he revealed.

Olowo is still positive that Heartland will pick vital points at Kano Pillars.

"We will contest for the points with Pillars.

"In past defeats at away we have always done well but failed to convert our chances.

"That has been our lots and I don't know why, but against Pillars, we will break the jinx," he said.

Heartland have earned six points out of a possible 18.
