I won't concede to Gombe Utd - Rotimi

Dolphins' first-choice goalkeeper, Sunday Rotimi has vowed to stop the duo of Gombe United goal kings, Mustapha Babadidi and Sanusi Sani from scoring goal on Sunday.

The duo has notched up five goals in the five-week old elite league.

The matchday seven game between the domestic champions and league leaders, Gombe United holds at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt.

Rotimi, who admitted that Gombe United are a good side, told SuperSport.com that he will puncture any goal move by the visitors.

"Gombe United are a good side both home and away.

"I know I have to work extra hard to stop them from scoring.

"I will do my best to ensure I don't concede any goal to them," he said.

The Nigerian goaltender is however positive that Dolphins will halt Gombe United's winning streak.

"We've worked very hard and the spirit among us is very high.

"We've a reputation to protect as defending champions, and they will be beaten convincingly.

"They can't beat two Port Harcourt-based teams in less than a week home and away," he said.

Dolphins have raked in nine points from possible 15 points.
