Bottom-placed ABS will be boosted by the return from injury of their inspirational captain, Fade Adebayo, when they host 3SC, this weekend.
Interestingly, it will be the first visit of the club's former coach, Festus Allen, to Ilorin since he assumed the gaffer's position
at 3SC.
Adebayo, who was impressive for the club in his Premier League debut last season sustained a groin injury which ruled him out of the Ilorin derby against neighbours, Kwara United, last Sunday.
He was also absent when ABS travelled to newly promoted Akwa United on Thursday, where they failed to get a point.
"It's painful to miss consecutive matches, but I've resumed training and I hope to attain fitness for the 3SC visit.
"I was unhappy to sustain the injury 24 hours before the Ilorin derby," Adebayo told SuperSport.com.
The midfielder was a transfer target of 3SC when Allen was appointed as manager of the club.
Adebayo reiterated the importance of the match considering the position of the club at the bottom of the 20-team log.
"It's important for us to get the maximum points. This is the time to get points," he said to SuperSport.com.
ABS have failed to pick points after trips to Enyimba, Heartland, Warri Wolves, and Akwa United.
