Akwa United new signing, Femi Thomas has vowed to stop Jigawa Golden Stars in Sunday's NPL week four game.
Thomas was the number one goalkeeper at NPL side, Ocean Boys in the 2010/2011 season.
The Olympic Eagles goal-stopper made his debut for Akwa United in match day one's barren draw against Rising Stars in Ijebu-Ode.
Thomas told SuperSport.com that he will stop Jigawa as they aim for their first three points of the season.
"We'll attack throughout the duration of the game.
"We must grab the three points at stake.
"We're disappointed not to have grabbed maximum points against Rising Stars.
"Of course, I will be in goal and will surely stop them from scoring," he said.
Thomas said his target at Akwa United is to aid the Uyo-based side to a continental ticket.
"My ambition is to win a continental ticket with Akwa United.
"We'll give the league title a hot chase," he said.
