Thomas sure of Olympic ticket

Nigeria's Under-23 team, the Dream Team V goalkeeper, Olufemi Thomas is upbeat the Olympic team will qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The nation's campaigners at the Caf 8-Nation Olympics qualifier in Morocco are due to depart Nigeria on Saturday for the North African state.

Nigeria are in pool A alongside hosts, Morocco, Algeria and Senegal. The football fiesta starts on November 26

Thomas who is among the three keepers listed for the tournament told SuperSport.com that the team will deliver the Olympic ticket.

"We feel honoured to be chosen by coach Austin Eguavoen for the tournament, we will do our best in Morocco to win the Olympic ticket.

"The three keepers are fit, I believe any one of us chosen to man the post will do an excellent job."

The Ocean Boys goal tender who trained with his teammates at the Main Bowl, National stadium, Lagos on Friday's morning informed SuperSport.com that the Olympic team will not miss the services of their foreign based players who were not released by their respective clubs.

"Not everybody can play at the same time.

"Sure those players would have added value to the team but it is not about individual player but team.

"It's a big challenge on us and we must live upto Nigerians expectations," he said.
