Black Aces sign Cohen
Mpumalanga Black Aces have signed former Jomo Cosmos and BidVest Wits striker Larry Cohen.
The 24-year-old, who is the son of ex-Highlands Park and Los Angeles Aztecs midfielder Martin Cohen, has signed a two-year deal.
Cohen junior made his PSL debut for Cosmos in the 2007/08 season against Thanda Royal Zulu, before making 17 appearances the following year when the side campaign in the National First Division (NFD).
He Joined Wits in 2010, but failed to make a single appearance for The Clever Boys and left the club at the end of the season.
He tried his luck in England in the last campaign without success, and then signed a short-term contract with Witbank Spurs in the NFD.
Black Aces also announced the return from loan of three of their players, Essau Mstweni, Sechaba Mmuso and Sibusiso Themba (all from University of Pretoria), as well as goalkeeper Bafana Nhlapo from Blackburn Rovers.
The club have also said that Swaziland midfielder Dennis Masina, Zambian forward Lottie Phiri and former South African Under-23 striker Phumelele Bhengu will attend trials in Europe, though they would not disclose where.
