Motha leaves Slovakian side

South African Bridget Motha has left Slovakian top-flight side Senica FC and will return to First Division FC Cape Town.

The Under-23 international spent six months on loan with Senica but was hampered by injury that limited him to just five starts for the side.

Selected as a first-choice when available, a serious hamstring injury meant he did not play after August 4, his final appearance coming in a Uefa Europa League loss to Red Bull Salzburg.

His exit from Slovakia follows that of Sibusiso Ntuli, who spent a successful loan spell at top-flight FC Nitra, but has returned to FC Cape Town after the clubs could not agree a fee for his permanent services.

It leaves just Waseem Isaacs as the only South African remaining in the European country from the trio of players who left FC Cape Town to try their luck in Slovakia with the hop of winning a move to a bigger European League.

Isaacs plays at second-tier Zemplin Michalovce, who continue their League campaign in March after the winter break.
