Chippa sign two Pirates players on loan

National First Division outfit Chippa United received a big boost ahead of the second half of the season with the capture of two players from Absa Premiership side Orlando Pirates.

Defender Vusi Mthimkhulu and midfielder Sibusiso Mnguni will join the Cape Town-based side on loan until the end of the season following an agreement by the two clubs which was confirmed by the Buccaneers via their website.

Mthimkhulu joined the Sea-Robbers at the start of the current season from NFD side Witbank Spurs, and although he battled to break into the squad for official matches he did feature for Bucs during the OR Tambo Challenge.

Mnguni started out with the Jomo Cosmos reserves before joining the Orlando Pirates Youth Academy in 2007. He has also spent time on loan with NFD sides United FC and Sivutsa Stars.

The 21-year-old made a few league appearances for Pirates this season, including a start during the 3-1loss to Bidvest Wits.

Chippa United are currently in 5th place on the NFD log, 11 points behind the leaders, University of Pretoria.
