Dynamos part ways with Medic
National First Division side Dynamos have parted ways with Serbian coach Momcilo Medic after just four months in charge of the club.
Medic coached the team for 12 games winning four with three draws and five defeats leaving the Giyani based Dynamos at 9th position on the NFD log. This prompted the trigger happy club management to rush for the panic button.
Zimbabwean Darlington Dodo, who served as an assistant coach to Medic, will be in charge of the team until a new mentor is appointed.
“Look we have agreed in principle to part ways with the coach obviously because of the poor results, the NFD is not like the PSL where you just need to avoid relegation; here it’s tough we need to be challenging for promotion.
“We are just waiting to finalise one or two issue with him (Medic) then the Chairman (Pat Malabela) will make an official announcement on Tuesday. So I cannot comment further on the matter,” said club managing director July Malabela.
Medic also confirmed that he was no longer in charge of Ri khomemi ringa peli. “I cannot talk for now I am still waiting for the team to issue an official statement then I can talk, for now I need to remain careful as we still have issues that needs to be finalised,” he said.
Meanwhile, the team has beefed up their playing staff after signing former Black Leopards duo of Christopher Netshidzivhe and Myron Shongwe, who have been club less since the end of last season.
