Msowoya out of Bafana match

Former Orlando Pirates striker Chiukepo Msowoya has, through muscle injury, withdrawn from the Malawi Flames' squad to face Bafana Bafana in Saturday's friendly match set for Durban.

Msowoya's injury is a blow to the Flames who are short of options upfront.

Coach Kinnah Phiri told Radio 2 FM that Msowoya pulled his muscles while playing for his Blantyre side Escom United as they lost 3-1 to Moyale Barracks in Zomba on Saturday.

"I have since told the team manager to get in touch with Robin Ngalande [of BidVest Wits University] as a replacement for Msowoya," Kinnah told the radio.

Malawi, who leaves Monday for Durban, lost 3-0 in their last visit of South Africa also for a strength-building match in 2008.
