Malawi captain Peter Mponda has parted ways with Santos and is back home for a new lease of life after being struck by a series of injuries during his two-year stay in Cape Town.
Mponda has been noncommittal on his next port of call. But he insists he has some two years of top level football before calling it time on his otherwise successful career.
There are some options for Mponda with a role at his childhood club Big Bullets looking like a real possibility. Meanwhile, SureStream Academy in Blantyre has appointed the former Santos and Black Leopards defender as their ambassador.
"They are ambitious and I am excited to be involved in this project," Mponda told SuperSport.com in Blantyre.
