We should have won - Bandari keeper
Promoted side Bandari FC started the league on a negative note after losing by a solitary goal to former Kenyan Premier League champions Ulinzi Stars on Sunday.
Bandari FC custodian Wilson Oburu believes the team was very unlucky to have lost the match saying he felt they were the better side.
“We really wanted to start the league on a positive note but football is very funny, sometimes you lose a match that you deserve to win and that was the case in our game against Ulinzi,” Oburu said.
“We clearly outplayed our opponents and had more chances but we were not lucky to make use of them (chances). It wasn’t our day.
“It’s always good to win the first match of the season since it brings confidence in the team and its unfortunate we lost. We will work on sealing the loopholes and hopefully improve on the next match,” he added.
Bandari will next play Western Stima in a league clash on Friday in Bukhungu.
