Ochieng confident of getting result

Tusker FC defender David Ochieng is adamant his side can pull off victory in the Seychelles over the weekend.

The brewers head out to the Seychelles to face off with champions St Michel in the preliminary rounds of the Caf Champions League. With the return leg back in Nairobi in a fortnight, a positive result will go a long way to helping them progress to the first round proper.

According to the Harambee Stars defender, they have prepared well and are confident ahead of the clash.

“We have prepared well so far and hope is that we can get the win we need. It is a vital clash for us as we want to do very well in the Champions League this year,” he said.

“Over the last few weeks we have trained well and worked on our tactics and the coach has had his say. I think that we are ready to play and do well and confidence is high.”

As for the perfect result, Ochieng feels a win or lesser, a draw is achievable.

“I think that we can get the result we want if we work hard there. Looking at our squad, a win is very possible and we will aim for that. A draw, on the other hand, will still give us a slight advantage, but a win will be very good. Hopefully, we can land that,” he said.
