Sony Sugar set for more friendlies

Kenyan Premier League side Sony Sugar FC will play friendly matches with two Division One Zone B sides this coming weekend.

Head coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo has confirmed that the team will play Oserian Fastac FC on Saturday and Finlays Horticulture the next day (Sunday 17 February).

“We continue our preparations this week normally, but will have two more friendly matches over the weekend. We play my former side Oserian on Saturday and then take on Finlay Horticulture on Sunday,” Pamzo said.

The team beat Division One Zone B side Agrochemicals 2-1 last Sunday and on Friday 8 February drew 2-2 with visiting Kampala Junior Team, and Pamzo says the friendlies were meant to test the players’ fitness levels as they continue their preparations for the season.

“The teams were very tough and I was very satisfied with the matches. In terms of physical fitness, my players are now at 85 percent and now we will be working on the tactical aspects in the coming days,” Pamzo said.

“I now have a rough draft of the players I will be using as my first eleven and I know before the leagues starts everything will be at 100 percent,” he concluded.
