Leopards unveil new signings



Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards unveiled its list of nine signings at the Nyayo National Stadium.

The players signed during the December-January transfer window will help boost the team as it targets the league title that Ingwe narrowly missed out on last season.

The unveiling was done in a small ceremony held in the afternoon where the club chairman also confirmed former Harambee Stars and Mtibwa Sugar coach Tom Olaba as the head coach.

AFC Leopards squad will comprise of 27 players ahead of the season kick off. This list included midfielder Charles Okwemba and striker Victor Ochieng’. The two have been at the centre of a tug of war between Leopards and relegated side Rangers FC, with Posta Corporation insisting that being their employees, they should play for Rangers after the company reinstated its sponsorship.

The nine players unveiled in the ceremony include Obadiah Ndege, Jackson Saleh, Martin Musalia, Antony Modo Kimani, Dennis Wafula, Patillah Omoto, Bernard Ongoma, Michael Wandera, and Noah Abich.

Leopards kicks off the season against newly promoted side Kakamega Homeboyz at the Bukhungu Stadium.
