Tanzanian based duo of Humphrey Mieno and Joackins Atudo who both ply their trade for Azam arrived in the country on Thursday to join the Harambee Stars squad preparing for Libya friendly early next month.
Harambee Stars stand in coach James Nandwa told supersport.com he was happy with the arrival of the duo who will bolster the team ahead of the Libya friendly to be played in Tunisia on February 6.
Nandwa also clarified that the other foreign based players that include captain Dennis Oliech, Victor Wanyama, Ayub Timbe and David Gateri will travel directly to the venue from their respective bases.
"I am glad Mieno and Atudo arrived and now the training programme is going on well. Our other foreign based players will go directly to Tunisia to help cut cost of travel and we are optimistic we will have a good game," Nandwa told supersport.com.
At the same time Nandwa rued the absence of influential midfielder Macdonald Mariga who gave the game a snub after his agent requested the federation to clear his accrued travel expenses.
"We will miss the services of Mariga who is an integral part of the national team and hope one of this days he will change his mind and once again play for his beloved country," he added.
