KPL kick-off postponed

The 2013 Kenyan Premier League season, which was set to commence on the February 16, will now start on February 24.
Also postponed is the annual curtain raiser; the SuperSport/DStv Cup which has been pushed back to February 23.
KPL Chief Executive Officer Jack Oguda confirmed to supersport.com of the changes saying they wee necessitated by the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
"After our meeting in Mombasa, the governing council reached a resolution to postpone the league commencement since our sponsors will be busy in South Africa with the ongoing cup of nations. The DStv cup has also been moved but the Charity Cup will be played as scheduled," Oguda told supersport.com.
The eighth round of matches will now be the opening round of matches and will be played on 24th, a day after Gor Mahia and Tusker face off in the DStv Cup.
