Mururi resumes coaching duties
Chemelil Sugar head coach Mike Mururi is set to join his side after taking time off to settle following the demise of his wife.
Mururi travelled to Chemelil on Monday to finalise preparations for the fast approaching season as they seek to better their last season’s results.
According to the coach, he hopes to get the team back on track quickly after spending time away by concluding the names that will feature for the team next season.
“I am now heading back to Chemelil but will have to catch up with all that happened while I was away before I can comment on any plans for next season,” he said.
“I am, however, confident that all will be fine for us and we are going to keep improving.”
The Millers have been preparing their squad but the information from their camp has been scarce, a factor that has been attributed to the coach’s absence. Chairman Robert Nyakundi also insisted that he was not in a hurry to sign an assistant coach since he has full confidence in his bench.
The side has been working on the list even in the absence of the coach and is set to release the squad on Tuesday.
Chemelil Sugar finished the 2012 season in the 10th place, a slot they are hoping to improve on in the current season.
