Origi happy with Mariga return

Harambee Stars first choice keeper Arnold Origi currently playing for Norwegian first division side Lillestrom is excited ahead of the Libya clash terming the squad called up as very good.

Origi is also excited about the return of key midfielder Macdonald Mariga describing him as a friend and a very important player for the team.

"I am happy with the squad called up as it is very good and the comeback of Mariga is an added advantage for the team not only because of the national team but because he has completely recovered and is playing competitive football now .It is always tough as a player to be out for so long with a long term injury so I am happy for him as he is my friend and team mate."

"Mariga is fully fit and playing again and his comeback adds great value to the team .I can say with confidence that it’s no secret the team needs his talent and experience which is of great value to the national team. I am looking forward to seeing him don the national colours again as we have very tough matches ahead and need all out top players fit and in good health," Origi told supersport.com from his base in Norway.

Stars play Libya on the February 6 in an international friendly to be played in Tunisia before facing Nigeria in a World cup qualifier in March.
