KCB look to sign eight players

KCB have opened talks to sign Bidco United defender Duncan Ochieng and former Mathare Youth goalkeeper Evans Adache.

The bankers are targeting to bring on board eight new players ahead of the upcoming season, which will comprise of two strikers, three defenders, two midfielders and a shot-stopper.

According to their newly appointed coach Juma Abdalla, who previously trained Thika United, Bidco United and Congo United, Ochieng and Adache are on the Bankers’ radar.

“We have eight spaces to fill and I am still contemplating to sign the two players (Ochieng and Adache). We are negotiating with their respective clubs and I hope the talks will soon bear fruits,” said Abdalla.

“My team will be a mixture of talent and experience. That means, I will sign at least three to four experienced players probably from other KPL clubs and maybe four upcoming players who will bring competition in the team.

“I am in search of two central defenders, a goalkeeper, two strikers and two midfielders. At the moment, that is we want in the market. More will follow after knowing the players we will release,” concluded Abdalla.

The bankers have already released three players in the shape of Paul Kiongera to Gor Mahia, Bernard Meki to Sony Sugar and Ezekiel Odera to Thika United.
