Kingatua keen on Thika move

Nairobi City Stars FC midfielder Keng’a Kingatua is keen on joining Tusker Premier League side Thika United.

The two clubs are negotiating over the sale of Kingatua, with the player hopeful that a deal will be concluded shortly.

“I’ve already agreed personal terms with Thika United and it is my hope that the negotiations between the two clubs will be successful and also end soon so that I can start my preparations for next season,” Kingatua said.

“Thika is a club with a good youth development policy and I know I can do well there. It’s currently one of the best teams locally and any player would love to join a club of such calibre,” he added.

Thika United head coach John Kamau is likewise eager to see the switch materialise.

“He is one of the players I intend having on board as I strengthen the team ahead of next season. He is very talented, visionary and holds the ball well but above all is much disciplined,” Kamau said.

“I hope all will go well and he joins us in good time for next season preparations,” he added.

Kenga’s contract with Nairobi City Stars is due to end in December 2013.
