Michel threatens to quit Stars

Harambee Stars coach Henry Michel has threatened to down his tools over unpaid salary.

Sources intimated to supersport.com that Michel and his two assistants gave Stars training on Tuesday a wide berth adding that he threatened to pack his bags and go back home claiming that Football Kenya Federation (FKF) was not meeting its part of the bargain..

According to the source who sought anonymity Michel has was only paid his September salary and has not been paid his October and November salaries together with his two assistants.

Reports add that Michel was ejected from Palacina Apartments because of non payment of accrued bills by the federation and moved to the Hillpark Apartment where he is facing the same fate.

"Henry Michel is up in arms and he has threatened to pack his bags and leave the country since the federation have failed to meet their part of the bargain. He has not been paid two months’ salary in addition the federation promised to avail him a personal car according to the contract and upto this moment they have not done so instead they hired a car which has not been paid for," the source told supersport.com.

When it became apparent that Michel was not dropping his demands the federation quickly drafted in James Nandwa as his assistant on Sunday.

Michel who replaced sacked Francis Kimanzi was employed amid hype as the Frenchman with hopes of leading Stars to greater heights.
