Oyoo hungry for more silverware

Tusker FC winger Joshua Oyoo is targeting the Football Kenya Cup to add to his club’s Kenya Premier League crown.

The brewers last weekend retained their league crown after a whirlwind final day of action, where they beat the Nairobi City Stars and Gor Mahia could only draw with Thika United.

That earned them their tenth title in the league and Oyoo, a mid-season transfer from SoNy Sugar, is targeting another trophy.

Tusker FC face off with Sofapaka on Sunday 18 November 2012 and Oyoo insists his team remains highly motivated after their title win.

“It is a trophy that we are very motivated to win. We want to make it two trophies this season,” said Oyoo.

“We won the league title yes, but when you taste glory, you want more. We celebrated after the win over the weekend but now we are back to business. Everyone is focused and looking forward to the weekend,” he said.

Against Sofapaka, they will find a side that is wounded from a season that they can deem a failure and the winger knows that they will not have it easy against the 2010 champions.

“They will give it their best because they have some very good players and want to win,” said Oyoo.

“It will be tough but we have played some really difficult games of late. We know what to expect from them and we will be ready. The will to win is there,” he maintained.

In their league meetings in the past season, Sofapaka won 1-0 and then drew 0-0 with the brewers.
