Harambee Stars coach Henry Michel has been on compassionate leave since November 3 when he went back to his native France after the passing on of his 90 year old mother.
Michel's mum passed on November 1after a long illness that saw her in and out of hospital. The coach travelled to France almost immediately to oversee the burial which takes place on Thursday.
The 64 year old coach has however called up players to the national team camp in preparations for an international friendly against Tanzania to be played in Mwanza. He returns to the country on Friday after attending the funeral.
"Michel has been out of the country to attend his mother’s funeral back in France after she succumbed from ill health that has been with her for over two years. Michel will however return to the country on Friday after the burial," a source close to the coach told supersport.com.
