Ulinzi host Mathare in Nakuru

As the Tusker Premier League enters the 26th round of matches this weekend, the 2010 champions Ulinzi Stars will be playing host to the 2008 champions Mathare United at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Saturday.

Ulinzi Stars, in fourth place, are in dire need of points to close the five-point gap on league leaders Tusker to revive their title hopes, while Mathare United, in 11th position, have yet to shake off their relegation worries.

The home team enter the encounter in better form, having managed two victories on the trot, the last a 2–0 defeat of Oserian. They will be looking for a first triumph over the Slum Boys since September last year.

The military side have been buoyed by the return to training of Wycliffe Ochomo, who limped off in the second half of the Oserian win.

Mathare United, for their part, will be looking to register their first win over the soldiers since their 2- 0 victory at the same venue in May 2010.

The Slum Boys have struggled in their recent matches, notably failing to defend a lead in four consecutive draws.

United have, however, performed decently against higher-placed teams this season, while they boast a fully fit squad for the game.
