Okumbi plots Ulinzi downfall

Mathare United have set their sights on collecting all three points when they travel to Afraha Stadium this weekend to take on Ulinzi Stars.

Despite the venue being Ulinzi Stars fortress, coach Stanley Okumbi claims that is the only way they can avoid relegation this season.

“We want a win against Ulinzi Stars. Our worst result can be a draw against them because we want to improve in the standings and avoid relegation.”

He also revealed that he has a full squad to choose.

“We don’t have injuries at the moment. All players are up for selection in this match. This season we want to finish in the top eight since the difference between us and teams ahead of us is small and if we win we have a chance to achieve that.”

The Slum boys have drawn their last four games as they dropped to ninth on the log.

The last time the two sides met, Ulinzi Stars won 2-0.

Mathare are currently 11th on the log with 29 points while the hosts are fourth with 43.
