Musonye lashes out at Michel

Cecafa secretary general Nicholas Musonye has hit out at Harambee Stars coach Henri Michel following his remarks over Senior Challenge Cup.
Musonye was reacting to Michel’s declaration that Kenya would prioritise CHAN qualifiers over the regional tourney.
“Michel has done nothing in African football and if I was to employ him, I wouldn’t. He shouldn’t allow himself to be dragged into the politics of FKF and Cecafa.”
“He should concentrate on what brought him here. He is here on holiday because he knows he can’t do anything for Kenya’s football because I’ve seen him at African Cup of Nations where he has failed. He should worry more about how he should be paid and how he will get his salary.”
“Kenya wants to use this as a scapegoat since they know they will not perform in Uganda. They can hide behind the CHAN qualifiers if they want.”
This comes after former French International Henri Michel said Cecafa was not an important competition and he prefers CHAN where Kenya have been drawn against Burundi.
The last time Kenya won the regional title was in 2002 where Dennis Oliech scored the winner as Harambee Stars edged past Tanzania 3-2 in the final.
