Wanyama on song for Celtic

Kenyan midfield duo of Victor Wanyama of Celtic and Al Nasr’s Jamal Mohamed made the headlines scoring in their respective matches in Europe and the Middle East over the weekend.

Scotland

Victor Wanyama continues to play an instrumental part since joining Celtic in the Scottish league. He scored as Celtic romped to a deserved 2-0 win over Dundee United.

The Kenyan international also won man of the match for his performance as he continues to hit rave reviews as one of the most important players in Neil Lennon's squad.

France

Kenyan captain Dennis Oliech’s side Auxerre lost 3-4 to Guingamp as his team continues to struggle in Ligue 2.

Oliech has been an important component of the team playing in virtually all the matches but has of late suffered a goal drought and is yet to score.

Italy

The good news coming from Italy is that Macdonald Mariga is quickly recovering from his anterior cruciate ligament that has kept him out for over seven months.

Mariga has been doing light training with the ball under the careful watch of his physiotherapist and is expected to make a complete recovery in one and half months to join his fellow players at Inter Milan

Oman

Just weeks after signing an eight month deal with Oman's Al Nasr, mercurial midfielder Jamal Mohamed scored on his debut as Al Nasr beat Salaaaa 4-0.

For Jamal this was the start of great things having been immediately drafted into the first team by coach Goheir who has been impressed by him in training.

Norway

Kenyan first choice keeper Arnold Origi's side Ullensaker/Kisa slipped to a 2-1 loss against Sarpsborg in the Norwegian Adecolligen league.

The short stopper who was playing his 21st league match produced several brilliant saves to keep the defeat margin low.

Sweden

Former Kenyan captain Robert Mambo was not on the mark as his side Dalkurd FF drew 3-3 with Sandvika in the Swedish division one .
