Gor Mahia midfielder Joseph Njuguna has resumed full training this week after limping off during the league match against against Sony two weeks ago.
Club general secretary George Bwana has confirmed that he will be fit for the derby clash against AFC Leopards on Saturday.
“Njuguna has resumed training. The midfielder is ready for the clash and will unleash his prowess against AFC Leopards. It was nothing serious and that is why he is up and running now.
"
Since joining the team in the June transfer window, he has become the engine of the team and will be tasked to link the midfield with the forwards, a role he has played with distinction.
Bwana also hailed their 14 day break by claiming that it was necessary for the side.
“The coach has travelled for a holiday and the players deserved to rest, hence, this couldn’t have come at a better time, it can be described as a ‘blessing in disguise.”
Gor are currently second on the log with 43 points and a win on Saturday will take them to the top of the log for the first time in over a decade.
