English coach, Tom Legg, who currently coaches at the Craig Bellamy Academy in Sierra Leone, has been linked with the vacant coaches post at Kenyan Premier League side Tusker.
The reigning Kenyan Premier League champions have received a flurry of applications from local and foriegn coaches following the sacking of Sammy “Pamzo” Omollo.
Legg has coached in India, England, America and Sierra Leone and has a wealth of experience in developing young players following his work with Exeter City and more recently the Craig Bellamy Academy in Sierra Leone.
“I am fully aware of the excellent work done by Sammy Omolo in leading Tusker to their ninth KPL title, his contribution to the club has been tremendous and I am sure he will continue to play a part in the growth of Kenyan football in his new role with Oserian FC,”Legg told SuperSport.com.
Legg went on to say; “I am not prepared to confirm whether talks have taken place with Tusker, but I would like to express my interest in the post.”
Legg has made a name for himself, in the region, for his tactical reporting on East African football from his Twitter page (@tomlegg) and for SuperSport.com. He was also described as East Africa’s leading tactical analyst by the British newspaper, The Guardian.
