Chemelil seek revenge against Gor

Gor Mahia has been enjoying a fine run recently in the Kenyan Premier League but a real test awaits against Chemelil Sugar FC on Sunday at the Afraha Stadium.

Due to security issues, the Nyanza-based side has been forced to switch the match venue from Chemelil Sports Complex to Nakuru.

In the first leg, the Millers were unlucky as they squandered a host of chances with their goal flagged offside in a match that ended in a barren draw.

However, this is expected to be a thrilling encounter and K’ogalo will be banking on influential forward Rama Salim, who scored a hat-trick last weekend against KCB FC.

Chemelil will be hoping to be boosted by the return of six players, namely Andrew Isemeki, Daniel Mutai, Enock Sichangi, Kassim Mohammed, David Ojwang’ and Christopher Litswa – who missed their clash against Tusker FC due to injuries and personal commitments.

Currently, Chemelil are ranked seventh on the pile, two points below sixth-placed Gor.

Probable Starting Line-ups Chemelil: Fredrick Onyango (GK), Willis Ouma, Smith Ooko, James Omino, Robert Indumuli, Daniel Mutai (Cpt), Enock Sichangi, Victor Omondi, Edmond Ochieng’, Gearson Likonoh, Daniel Ochieng’.

Subs: Jairus Adira (GK), Mike Mururi, Jonathan Mwanike, Charles Odera, Athman Mzee, Kassim Mohammed, Tony Opondo.
