Botswana Coach Stanley Tshosane attributed his team’s defeat to Kenya’s under 23 side to mistakes by his charges.
Kenya won 3-1 courtesy of a brace from Clifford Miheso and a goal from Paul Kiongera that cancelled out Tembogo Sembowa's early effort that had given the visitors the lead.
He also highlighted the impact of substitute Enock Agwanda who played a part in two of Kenya’s goals.
"We didn't know much about this player and he stunned us when he came on into the match. We tried to close on him through tactical moves but it did not work out and we lost."
"This is a development side and we have learnt from our mistakes and we will try and rectify them following the defeat against our opponents."
He paid tribute to the Kenyans saying they were better in terms of play compared to them.
"This was okay from the team but Kenya had a good performance. Despite the result, we are happy with the scoreline since we are working on improving the team."
The Botswana development side was made up of six players that featured in the African cup of Nations this year and with such a result the Kenya U23 team has once again shown their prowess.
