Kenya U23 coach James Nandwa has hailed the performance of striker Enock Agwanda after his brilliant performance against Botswana.
Nandwa also urged the federation to maintain the team following its 3-1 win over Botswana in a friendly.
"He was a game changer against Botswana and we need to use someone like that in the Harambee Stars team. He is playing like Peter Dawo and he contributed to the win with the throw-in and assist."
"The federation should maintain this team to make it better and not change it so that it can gain momentum."
The Rangers coach also explained the defensive blunder that saw Kenya concede an early goal.
"We can't blame a single player on that goal conceded. This can't be fatigue since some players played two matches in two days but it is lack of concentration that caused it."
With the development side once again proving to be better in quality, Nandwa believes that the players should be given much importance in the national team.
"We should forget about the players like Dennis Oliech and focus on ones like Agwanda. They should take over the country because he has shown he can do it."
"The main reason we picked him in the first place is because he is good with throw-ins and it paid off."
He also acknowledged that playing Zebras was a risk bearing in mind they barely had time to prepare.
"The federation took a risk, the coach did, players did and we are happy with the outcome in the long run as a team."
