Thika United silence Sony Sugar

An 84th minute goal scored by Dennis Odhiambo gave Thika United their first win of the season with a 1-0 win over Sony Sugar at Thika Municipal Stadium.

A good build-up started from midfield saw Michael Luvutsi set up the Harambee Stars defender who kept his nerve to score the winner.

The home side were indebted to custodian Lucas Indeche who pulled off save after save to ensure that the Brookside got the three points.

Following the win, Thika are up three places to tenth with seven points while Sony Sugar maintained ninth position also with seven.

Thika United will next weekend visit Nairobi to face Rangers while Sony Sugar will host Gor Mahia in Kisi.
