FKF insists Pharoah friendly still on

Football Kenya Federation(FKF) have insisted that the friendly match pitting Kenya's Harambee Stars and Egypt's pharoahs slated for February 23rd is still on despite reports that it had been cancelled.

FKF Chief executive officer Lordvick Aduda clarified to SuperSport.com that they were still waiting for another 48hours but according to them the match was still on.

"When the government of Egypt banned the federation it was tantamount to banning CAF which is based in the country"

"Yes we understand the difficulties after the deaths in Port Said but as at now the match is still on as we wait for clarification within the next 48 hours"Aduda told SuperSport.com

The Egyptian federation was sacked by the government following stadium deaths in Port Said that left 74 people dead.

However FIFA has reiterated they would not allow government interference in football mattters.
