FKF copper test scheduled for Feb 3-5



The Football Federation of Kenya(FKF) have lined up a two day’s cooper test for referee’s slated for Moi International Sports Centre(MISC) Kasarani from February 3-5.

The test popularly referred as the physical endurance test(PET) will involve two class one referees from each of the active branches.

According to FKF secretary General Omondi Aduda, a total of 72 referees that includes 40 from the Kenya Premier League(KPL) and 32 from branches are expected to grace the exercise.

The first day will involve the endurance test before paving way for theory.The exercise will also come up with the 16 match commissar’s who will be in charge of the KPL out of 40 who have been invited.

The match commissar’s course will run concurrently with the Cooper test from February 4-6th.

Isaac Mwangi who is a Fifa CAF fitness instructor and a top lecturer at Strathmore University will conduct the course.

He will be assisted by retired Fifa referees Glady’s Waweru , Juma Kalume as well as FKF Technical director Patrick Naggi and Maxim Itur among other members of the referee fraternity.

Meanwhile, the federation will award CAF Level B and C coaches with their coaching licenses on Tuesday February 2nd.The exercise will be presided by FKF Chairman Sam Nyamweya at the Federation offices at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Early last year over 100 coaches took part in the CAF Licencing courses .

The African Football Governing body will this year conduct a Level A and Elite Coaching Course for National Teams Coaches.
