Disco fine for unnamed Genoa players
Serie A strugglers Genoa fined a number of players on Tuesday for attending a dinner/disco evening, the club announced.
Genoa did not name the players or indicate how much they were fined.
A statement said: "Genoa football club has fined some players who took part in a dinner disco Thursday evening, an outing that went beyond the permitted time frame.
"The proceeds from the fines will be donated to Matteo, a young boy who is seriously ill and in need of an operation, as well as other charitable initiatives."
Genoa are presently third from bottom in the table.
