Inter sign Lazio striker Rocchi

Serie A side Inter Milan on Friday confirmed the signing of Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi on what is believed to be a six-month deal.

Inter released no financial details of the transfer, stating simply: "F.C. Internazionale welcomes Tommaso Rocchi to the club.

"The paperwork relating to the striker's transfer from S.S. Lazio has been delivered to the Lega Serie A offices. Rocchi has joined Inter on a permanent deal."

Rocchi had played only three games for the Biancocelesti this season and with several established forwards at Inter including former Italy international Antonio Cassano and Argentine pair Diego Milito and Rodrigo Palacio, he is not expected to secure a regular starting place.

The 35-year-old Rocchi spent eight seasons at Lazio after joining the Rome-based club from Empoli in 2004.
