Players welcome Amrouche appointment

The appointment of Belgian Adel Amrouche as new Harambee Stars coach has been well received by foreign based players but at the same time added that the new coach should be given ample time to develop the team into a formidable side.

Dennis Oliech-Harambee Stars captain

As captain I believe its always important to give any coach appointed ample time to work. I personally met Amrouche in Tunisia when we played Libya and looking at his credentials am delighted that he is in charge of the team. It is important that the federation works hand in hand with him and they should give him ample time to work effectively as he tries to rebuild the team at both the youth and senior level.

As captain I will give him my full support as we go through this journey together.

Arnold Otieno Origi-Harambee Stars first choice keeper

I believe it is a new beginning for Kenya and am happy that Amrouche is a coach that can communicate effectively with the players. I want to take this opportunity to welcome him as his track record is impressive and we hope that his experience will help the national team to grow and perform even better in all future endeavours.

Victor Wanyama - Celtic midfielder

I just heard the news of the appointment of Adel Amrouche as the new Harambee Stars coach. I know his vast experience will help the country to grow in leaps and bounds. Everybody concerned should give him time as we will all be ready to co-operate with him as we try to make Harambee Stars better.

Macdonald Mariga- Parma midfielder

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome the new Harambee Stars coach .His track record has been impressive especially in Africa where he has shown a passion for the beautiful game .We hope he will be given ample time to work so that he can deliver on his objectives as he tries to transform the Kenyan team.

Jamal Mohammed - Kenyan midfielder

Adel Amrouche is definitely the best pick for Kenya. His tenure in Burundi was one of the best and we could see the kind of football they played. Nothing is impossible as long as you give the coach time to apply his tactics and room to improve on the players present in the team. This is a new beginning for Kenya and i belive this is the right man to drive our team to greater heights.
