Medeama position not deserved - Asante

Twelve points exist between Medeama, on top of the Ghanaian top flight, and Tema Youth, near the relegation pack. But the deputy CEO of the Tema side claims the league leaders do not deserve their position.
Henry Asante Twum was elated by the 4-0 win of his side against Medeama in one of the upsets of the season, and he promptly proceeded to demystify the aura around Medeama.
"They do not deserve to be top of the league table and we proved that."
A brace from Francis Narh in the first half and two second half goals from Bright Adjei and Abass Mohammed left the leaders baffled, but Asante was sure of the reasons for the result.
"I believe that what made the difference on the day was the fact that we had a better team than Medeama," Asante-Twum noted.
This was only Tema Youth's fourth win of the season and it was a show that heaped pressure on Medeama following the departure of Bashiru Hayford for AshGold.
"I think that my team deserves the plaudits for the kind of performance we put up today. We played well, we had very positive cohesion and we moved the ball around in good fashion. Our coaches also deserve some credit for the win," the deputy CEO went on.
Tema Youth still have a lot to do get into the table's fashionable places, while this may yet prove to be just a blip for Medeama, who have 30 points.
