Medeama is set to lose their head coach Bashiru Hayford to AshGold in the next twenty-four hours, supersport.com understands. The gaffer will sign a two-and-a-half year deal with the Miners.
He has left the Western Region and has already met players of AshGold on Wednesday morning. Medeama have not been happy with the news making the rounds, as a club source tells supersport.com that Hayford has not officially severed his relationship with them.
Hayford has the option to renew his contract with Medeama, where there are three months more to its expiration. The timing of his decision to move is odd, considering that Medeama are on top of the leage with 30 points from 15 games.
Bashiru has built a formidable squad that is light on concessions and heavy on gameplay.
